WHO IS OUR TARGET MARKET?

The KIUW anthology series is for people who are 18+ and have an interest in open conversations on varied subject matters. We tackle subjects which are usually 'kept under wraps' or have a certain stigma attached to them on what is or isn't normal.

WHERE WILL THE ANTHOLOGY BE AVAILABLE?
​
The anthology series will be available in paperback and ebook format via most book retailers online, and can usually be ordered in at your local bookshop. We encourage buyers to purchase from independent retailers when possible.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY SUBMISSION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL?
​
We will draw up a long list, followed by a short list and then will move on to contact all candidates by email. If your submission has not been successful this time, please try again for one of our other anthology collections.

HOW DO I SUBMIT ANONYMOUSLY?
For submissions you will have to provide your real name so that we can get in touch with you should you be chosen to feature in the anthology.
Submissions accepted into the anthology receive a payment* and a copy of the book once it is in print. Your real name will only be known by the editorial team who shall only refer to you, publicly, in reference to the book, by your chosen pen name.
MAY I USE A PEN NAME?
Yes, of course. Some subjects may call for a certain amount of anonymity, and we respect your choice on whether you wish to use an alternative name. Please state if you are using a pen name in your submission letter.

WILL YOU USE MY REAL NAME TO PROMOTE THE BOOKS?

Only if you ask us to use your real name. If you have chosen a pen name, any reference to your story in any marketing material will be done using the name you have asked us to use.

DO YOU PAY YOUR AUTHORS?
​
​If your piece is accepted in to one of our anthologies, you will be notified in writing and you will be asked to sign a contract allowing us the right to print and distribute your work.
The authors published will each receive a one off payment* for their work and a copy of the book once it is in print.
If you are sending a submission from overseas and are successful in being included in the anthology, the fee will be paid in your local currency by bank transfer only and the total amount paid will be dependent on the exchange rate at the time.
